We do more than guide people outside…

Rise Outside believes in creating access to those normalizing diversity in the outdoors. We focus our work not only based on paid guided trips, but creating low cost-free programming to individuals and organizations helping to fulfill our mission.

Affinity Programming

RISE OUTSIDE STRIVES TO WORK IN PARTNERSHIP WITH INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANIZATIONS NORMALIZING DIVERSITY IN THE OUTDOORS. OUR AFFINITY SPACE PROGRAMS OFFER WELCOMING AND SAFE SPACES FOR FOLKS WHO SHARE THE SAME IDENTITY AND EXPERIENCES OF GROUPS THAT WE HELP SERVE. WE PROVIDE ACCESSIBLE, INCLUSIVE AND INTERSECTIONAL OUTDOOR ADVENTURE PROGRAMS FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES, BIPOC, LGBTQ2+, WOMEN, AND LOW-INCOME ADULTS AND YOUTH AT A DISCOUNTED RATE. We’re grateful to have worked with many affinity spaces and groups including Brown Girls Climb, Kinship Climbing Collective, Flash Foxy, New York City Climbing Collective, Laru Beya collective, Asian Climbing Tribe, Tri-State Hikers, BIPOC Climbing Collective, Detroit Outdoors, and many more organizations throughout the east coast and United States.

Scholarship based programming

Rise OUtside partners with organizations and businesses who are looking to support our mission and break barriers in accessing the outdoors. We are proud partners with the beau johnson Memorial scholarship with Rock and SNOW, THE FLash FOxy Education program, and wilderness first responder training for underrepresented communities with backcountry pulse.
